Exploratory Laparotomy

22 year old female patient was admitted in emergency at BIMR hospital with complaint of pain in abdomen and bleeding per vaginum . She has undergone D&C at some hospital 1 day before On clinical examination severe abdominal tenderness and bleeding p/v was present .Immediately USG was done which suggest uterine perforation _c Hemoperitoneum. After her primary management &complete evaluation ,exploratory laparotomy was done.

यह मुश्किल सर्जरी थी क्योंकि यह मुख्य धमनी गुब्बारा था इसलिए सर्जरी के दौरान धमनीविस्फार के टूटने, पक्षाघात का खतरा होता है. यह मुश्किल सर्जरी लगभग 3 घंटे चली। सर्जरी के 48 घंटे बाद मरीज को छुट्टी दे दी गई.

𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬;

Uterine fundus was entirely torn -Repair was done Small bowel loop (ileum) through and trough transected Ileoileal anastomosis was done .

Hemoperitoneum & clots was present in abdominal cavity peritoneal wash was done.

Fetus was found in peritoneal cavity

PT was satisfactorily discharged on 7th post operative day

"D&C can be life threatening ,so choose wisely "
