Department of Emergency/Trauma Center
Emergency and Acute Care Medicine is a branch of medicine concerned with prompt diagnosis, evaluation and treatment of life-threatening medical situations. This service is provided by Emergency Physicians, Nurses who have been specially trained to handle emergency medical conditions in the shortest possible time. It is an integral component of the healthcare system and is the first point of contact for all medical emergencies and post hospital hour’s needs. The department also looks after transport of Critical patients by providing land and is the nodal center for disaster management.
All our Casulaty medical officers and Casualty Nursing staff are all ACLS certified ( Acute Cardiac Life Support). We have a dedicated Trauma working group that includes Orthopedicians, Plastic and Burns surgeon, Eye, ENT, General Surgeon and Gynecologists. All patients are stabilized in the casualty and subsequently either sent back home or admitted in the hospital. In case no bed is available the patient is transported in the hospital ambulance along with a qualified doctor to the nearest large hospital.
Hospital’s Emergency department is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
